It’s Been a While

Monday, September 27th, 2010

I apologize for taking so long to update the news page. As many of you know by now I had a surgery done on my foot and calves back in March. I temporarily shut down my site while I recuperated.

Prior to going into surgery I put into motion having my web designer redesign my shopping pages to make them more efficient and up to date. I also made some graphic changes on the pages as well which you can now see. Progress with the designer was slow but coming along until he just up and stopped communicating with me in July. I’ve written to him on numerous occasions and have not received any replies back from him. He abandoned me with no explanation, no apologies, nothing. I had the redesigned framework in hand to redo my shopping pages but with so many metals, gauges and ring sizes available I was stuck with no real good way to update them without taking literally days to do it.

So, after months of trying to get a hold of the web designer and giving him numerous chances to redeem himself I’ve given up on him and went in search of a new designer. I’m happy to report that I’ve found a new one who has agreed to pick up the pieces and finish things for me. So please excuse yet another bump in the road while I get the site back up and running again. He has to fix the code on the redesigned pages the other designer did for me because it turns out it is obsolete and work on the back end programming at my host where my site resides.

Convoluted story, yes, but it is my goal to have my site back up and running by the end of October in time for the holidays. My humblest apologies for this long drawn out delay.

Cart Pages Back Up But…

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

Ordinarily I travel twice a year as most of you know, to Tucson and to the Bead & Button Show in Milwaukee. This year has a been a little busier for me having been able to travel to London and Paris recently and the Carribean prior to that during the winter.

While I apologize for the service interruptions during that time I hope all of you understand about my seizing the travel opportunities that were presented to me. I mean who in their right mind would turn down London, Paris, or the Carribean?

So, as you can surmise I’m leading up to another travel announcement. I’m headed off to Milwaukee this Saturday to attend the Bead & Button show and will be out of the shop until June 9th. The cart will be open this time around to accept your orders but they will not be processed or begin shipping out until the 9th.

Thank you all for your patience and loyalty!

Temporary Site Closure

Friday, May 1st, 2009

Fortunately an opportunity came up for me to be able to travel to London and Paris. Since I’ve never been to either city I’ve jumped at the chance to go.
Often times when I post notices here about site closures people don’t read them and go directly to the ordering pages. This sometimes results in someone ending up upset because they didn’t know there was a temporary closure.
Consequently I’m going to take down the ordering pages until my return. The last day I’ll accept orders is May 2, 2009 until 3 pm Pacific. All orders that were placed prior to the closure will be finished and sent out before our departure. I know that it’s short notice but it couldn’t be helped. The site will reopen May 26, 2009 after Memorial Day weekend.

Niobium On The Way!

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

I’ve had several requests for Niobium rings over the years so I finally made that leap recently. Give me some time to play with it to get familiar with it so that I can achieve fairly consistent results. I’ll post a notice when the Niobium page goes live. I can hardly wait! I love Niobium and all the color possibilities!
