For those of you who tried shopping with us over the weekend and could not get our site to load we apologize. Here is a brief explanation of what happened.
On October 30 2008, a press release was put out notifying the industry that Sprint-Nextel had severed its internet connection to Cogent (the provider of bandwidth for our host), resulting in the inability of Sprint-Nextel’s customers to connect to any website that gains bandwidth from Cogent.
On November 3, 2008 Sprint temporarily reconnected the ties between themselves and Cogent, repairing the connectivity. However Sprint has advised everyone that this is only temporary, while they work out other solutions.
Unfortunately what this means to our customers is that the problem is unresolved and it may happen again if the issues between Sprint-Nextel and Cogent are not resolved. Our hands are tied as this is totally out of our control.
If this continues to be a problem we may be forced to find a new host. We will try to keep you updated as best we can.
