My new web site developer and I are still working out details on the back end of the site. We’re working as fast as we can to get all the those details worked out. This whole process is basically like starting over. Stay tuned. It shouldn’t be too much longer.

It’s Been a While

I apologize for taking so long to update the news page. As many of you know by now I had a surgery done on my foot and calves back in March. I temporarily shut down my site while I recuperated.
Prior to going into surgery I put into motion having my web designer redesign my shopping pages to make them more efficient and up to date. I also made some graphic changes on the pages as well which you can now see. Progress with the designer was slow but coming along until he just up and stopped communicating with me in July. I’ve written to him on numerous occasions and have not received any replies back from him. He abandoned me with no explanation, no apologies, nothing. I had the redesigned framework in hand to redo my shopping pages but with so many metals, gauges and ring sizes available I was stuck with no real good way to update them without taking literally days to do it.
So, after months of trying to get a hold of the web designer and giving him numerous chances to redeem himself I’ve given up on him and went in search of a new designer. I’m happy to report that I’ve found a new one who has agreed to pick up the pieces and finish things for me. So please excuse yet another bump in the road while I get the site back up and running again. He has to fix the code on the redesigned pages the other designer did for me because it turns out it is obsolete and work on the back end programming at my host where my site resides.
Convoluted story, yes, but it is my goal to have my site back up and running by the end of October in time for the holidays. My humblest apologies for this long drawn out delay.

We got rid of the old border so that the pages will load faster. We also widened the pages and increased the font size. I’ve also changed the background color to a more regal looking color that, to me, is reminiscent of medieval times. Hope you like!
We have a few more changes to hammer out behind the scenes but hopefully the site will be reopening very very soon.

Site Opening Soon

I had my follow up visit with my orthopedic surgeon and they said everything looks as it should on my foot. They said I should expect swelling for at least 6 months! They gave me the usual advice of keeping my foot up when I began to swell and hurt. I’m going to head into a physical therapist to work on some stretching exercises as well.
As I’ve mentioned previously below I’ve been working with my web designer on redesigning a few things on my site. We’re about ready to wrap things up and implement the changes. As soon as that’s finished I’ll re-open the site. Shouldn’t be too much longer!
